Registration fees

All registrations include a Sport Council Field User Levy, a Little League District 5 Levy and Highlands Little League Fees. Financial assistance may be available through Sport BC.


Refund Policy (Fall Ball - Development)

1. Refund requests prior to registration closing on August 15th will be subject to a $25 admin fee.

2. Refund requests between August 15th and September 7th will be subject to an admin fee of 50%.

3. No refund will be issued after September 7th.


Refund Policy (Regular Season)

1. Refund requests prior to registration closing date of January 31st will be subject to a $25 admin fee.

2. Refund requests between January 31st and the day before the start of season (March 31) will be subject to a admin fee of 50%.

3. No refund will be issued after March 31st.

 

Team formation (Regular Season)

Blastball/T-ball/A Division teams, we’ll attempt to place friends together where possible but this is not guaranteed. Teams are typically school based.

Teams at the AA to Majors levels are selected on the basis of player evaluations (not based on schools or friend requests).

 

Player evaluations (Regular Season)

Players registering for AA to Majors will be contacted by email in January with dates and times for player evaluations that will take place in early February. Every child is guaranteed a spot on a team. Evaluations are simply to assure that talent is equally distributed to all teams.

 

Volunteers

Regular season

Our regular season runs from the beginning of April to mid June. Schedules are posted in March or early April. Post-season play begins in June and runs through July.

Player ages

Players in our entry level divisions (Blastball and T-Ball) are rostered by school age/grade.

For higher divisions, the Age Determination Date for a Little League Baseball player is the actual age of a child on August 31 of the current year


For example

Alice was born on August 20th, 2016, and she is considered baseball age 10 for 2026.

Bruce was born on September 3, 2016, and he is considered baseball age 9 for 2026.

Players in A Ball and up should register for the appropriate division based on baseball age. Players must play at least one year in their age-appropriate division before being considered for play in the next division. From A Ball onwards, league evaluations will determine whether requests to ‘play up’ will be accepted.
